Summer in Funes

In Funes, you can feel the magic of the mountains. Whether on foot, by mountain bike or e-bike, rest is guaranteed. The starting point is the Zanser Alm, approx. 12 km from our farm. It is easy to reach by car or by public transport. There is a bus stop about 200 meters from the farm.

Located near the Zanser Alm, a high ropes course stretches over the treetops. Courses in various levels and degrees of difficulty challenge your climbing skills. If this is too easy for you, the Geislerspitzen also offer challenging via ferratas, such as the via ferrata to the Sass Rigais or the large Günther-Messner-Steig.

Or would you rather explore the Villnöss Valley on horseback? Only ten minutes walk from our farm, there is a horse farm, which offers you wonderful tours.

Need a cool off from the summer heat? Then a jump into the cold water is just the thing. In Klausen (25 minutes) or in Bressanone (40 minutes) you will find a great outdoor swimming pool.

For the adrenaline enthusiasts, the valley also offers paragliding. From the air, the Geislerspitzen are much more impressive.

Feel the winterwonderland

The Villnöss Valley is also in winter a nice holiday destination. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the large ski areas, you can enjoy the magic of the winter landscape in peace.

If you still like skiing, you will find in St. Magdalena, 7 km from our farm, a small ski lift that is used by all ages. Do you prefer more demanding slopes? The Plose ski area is 30 minutes away by car from our farm and offers you, in addition to the skiing experience, a great view of the surrounding mountains.

Or would you prefer to hike in the snowscape of Villnöss Valley? Starting from the Zanser Alm, you will find groomed forest and hiking trails that lead you to the pastures along the Geislerspitzen. There is also the possibility to make beautiful tours with guided snowshoe hikes at the foot of the Geislerspitzen.

A cross-country ski run can be found in the direction of Würzjoch, 3km from our farm. The trail leads past the Halslhütte and ends at the foot of the Peitlerkofel.
